About Camanio Care
Camanio AB was formed in October 2019, by moving the business from the company then known as Camanio Care AB. The foundation for the business was made three years prior in October 2016 by merging Brighter Two and Bestic AB. The two companies already had two strong products on the market: the experience bike jDome®BikeAround™ and the assistive eating device Bestic®. Together, they saw that they could operate on a larger market and reach more people in need of products that simplify and improve everyday life. In April 2017, the company acquired former Giraff Technologies with the telepresence robot Giraff™, and in July 2018 another acquisition was made of the IoT specialist Vital Integration.
The story behind BikeAround jDome
From the gaming world to becoming an assistive device in health care – how did that happen? jDomes creator, John Nilsson, an entrepreneur and devoted gamer chased an even greater gaming experience. He wondered: What would happen if you had a screen that increased the visual experience of the game - a panorama view? Wouldn’t that be more realistic and fun? Said and done, John started to develop the screen that he wanted to use himself. He set it up as a projector screen in front of the home movie projector and stood up whilst playing. It struck him that it could be a clever approach to being inactive, but he could not imagine that jDome's current target group would be the ones that caused the product to take effect.

The story behind Bestic
Sten Hemmingsson: "When I was 15 years old I got polio, which brought quite severe damage to my arms and shoulders. Nevertheless, it has worked well throughout my career in the engineering industry. I have worked as a project manager, worked as CEO and have been used to caring for myself.
Approximately seven years ago I realized the difficulty it became to eat. Having to be fed affected my independence and self-esteem too much. Because I was not alone in this problem I sought out for a good assistive aid but didn’t find anything that suited my needs."
